Fancy beads—including striped, swirled, and spiral forms— were produced in Venetian furnaces from the 17th through 19th centuries. They represent some of the most visually striking non-millefiori beads of the period. Their decorative complexity placed them in the upper-middle tier of bead valuation across both North American and African trade networks.
