DescriptionThis print was made as part of Light Work's Fine Print Program. During John Edmonds's residency in Syracuse, he began a series of portraits of men wearing du-rags, which is ongoing. In his work, he focuses on the performative gestures and self-fashioning of young black men on the streets of America and makes evocative portraits of lovers, close friends, and strangers (SOURCE: Light Work, NY).
