DescriptionWayne Lawrence is a documentary photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. His work represents a visual diary of his life’s journey, and focuses on communities that mainstream media tends to overlook. Lawrence’s print, titled Maldiya, comes from his project Orchard Beach, a collection of direct and beautiful portraits celebrating the diversity and community of one of New York City’s most popular waterfront destinations.
