DescriptionMan wearing toga with a donkey’s head stands in a court full of men. A sign on the ground next to him reads "A / Mid- / Winter / Night's / Dream. / By [Illegible]." The donkey-man holds papers in his hands reading "Inflation Resolutions / That Will / Ruin Any Nation:", "Inflation Resolutions / Everybody to Have More Greenbacks, / To Equalize the Pay the People / Received During the Late War.", "Inflation / Resolutions", and "$500.000.000 / Greenbacks / to Equalize / the Pay of / Soldiers / and / Sailors." Captioned "GREENBACK, THE WEAVER (from Iowa). 'I see their knavery: this is to make an ass of me; to fright me if they could. But I will not stir from this place, do what they can: I / will walk up and down here, and I will sing, that they shall hear I am not afraid.'" typeset beneath title in black ink.
