Y., in 1811, and studied under Prof. Morse and Charles C. Ingham. At the last exhibition of the National Academy he had two pictures, Water Lilies and a Portrait of a Gentleman. Mr. Pratt was an old friend of Sanford R. Gifford, and the shock which he received from the news of the latter's death is thought to have precipitated his own demise.
