DescriptionFigure with donkey head wearing a wreath on his head is standing upright on left side of composition. His eye has a ring around it reading "Third term" and his belt reads "Caesars". One man is shoving a battle axe through the figure's torso. The staff of the battle axe reads "N.Y. Tribune", and the head reads "This / is / not / G. Washington's". Another man stabs the figure's lower body with a sword reading "N.Y. Herald. (The Damascus) / (Blade.)" Captioned "'We do it wrong, being so majestical, / To offer it the show of violence;" typeset beneath and left of title in black ink, captioned "For it is, as the air, invulnerable, / And our vain blows malicious mockery.'---SHAKSPEARE.
