DescriptionCast reproductions of Mississippian fireclay (a.k.a. "bauxite") pipes from the site of Cahokia in Collinsville, IL. The original objects are: S2023.3.1 - "Macoupin Creek Figurine," formerly known as "The Piasa Creek Figure Pipe," original in the collection of the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, OK (as of 1982); casts in the collections of the Iliinois State Museum, Cahokia Mounds Historic Site, and the National Museum of the American Indian S2023.3.2 - "Calhoun Frog Pipe," a cast is in the Illinois State Museum collection; location of original is unknown S2023.3.2 - "Man with Fish Pipe," location of original is unknown
