DescriptionEtching depicting actor Judith Anderson (Australian, 1897-1992) as Mary in "Family Portrait: A Play in Three Acts" (1939) by Lenore Coffee (American, 1898-1984) and William J. Cowen (American, c. 1926-1964). The etching appears to be based on a photograph of Anderson in costume taken by Carl Van Vechten (American, 1880–1964) during the play's run at the Morosco Theatre on Broadway from March 8 – June, 1939.
