DescriptionThe London Illustrated News published a picture entitled “Duel in the Snow” depicting a scene from a play at Drury Lane Theatre. Nast copied the picture quite exactly but used animal rather than human faces to create this droll picture. (SOURCE: Jay Williams, "Thomas Nast: America in Black and White", 2002)
