DescriptionFrom the portfolio forward:
"This artist's series of riveted aluminum sculpture evolved from an interest in the articulation of medieval armor and its figurative presence. Swan's wholly abstract work evokes its origins as well as suggesting the forms of drums, ships or architectural enclosures. She is a graduate of Bennington College and Syracuse University.
Swan's contribution, 'Passage,' is a collagraph printed from aluminum shapes riveted to a metal plate. Each print is unique in the way the graphite ink was rolled and brushed on the plate to create surface texture."
