DescriptionGrant sits on a chair with one arm resting on table. Ghost of Washington rests hand on one of Grant's shoulders, in his other hand he holds a paper with quote from "The Philadelphia 'Aurora,' March 4, 1797" typeset in black ink. Above seated grant a painting of Lincoln hangs on wall. To the left of painting is a quote from "Grant at Lincoln's Grave". In front of grant on the ground are newspapers with headlines reading "The N.Y. Daily Hoax", "The Cap. (don) Pirate", "The Daily [skull and crossbones] Dead-head", "The Memphis Avalanche of Malice", "The Truthful Liar.", "The Black-Mailer.", "The Slanderer.", "The Current Rumor."
