DescriptionJuxtaposition of wealth and poverty in the foreground: people in torn garments crowd around hot pea soup. Others, dressed lavishly in rich layers pass around this scene on the right. The aforementioned persons occupy a slightly larger scale evoking a classist hierarchy of scale. Architectural element convey setting in the background.
