DescriptionLorenzo Tiepolo made only 10 etchings, 9 of which were after his father's designs. This print is after a painting that Giovanni Battista Tiepolo executed in 1759 called "Saint Anne’s Vision," which was painted for the church of Santa Chiara at the Benedictine monastery in Cividale, Friuli, which can be seen in the background of the painting (and the print), along with a bridge over the river Natisone and the Santuario di Castelmonte. The painting was removed from the church in 1810 and now resides in the Gemäldegalerie in Dresden, who acquired the painting via auction in 1914.
