DescriptionFrom the portfolio forward: "This artist has chosen the figure as the stage for his formal explorations. Formed of clay and cast into plaster, resin or bronze, Larry Pollans' work is often intensely personal, speaking of his roles of father, husband, son, teacher. Pieces vary in size and scope from intimate wall pieces to larger than life. The artist, a graduate of Boston University School of Art, teaches at Milton Academy. 'Group # 1' is "the result of one too many cocktail parties", according to the artist. Pollans has depicted reveling figures in a linoleum print with brown ink."
