In Cambodia today, at the area of Angkor, miles of temples, statues and other works of antiquity are being uncovered from their jungle bed and opened up for tourist and scholarly interest. Some 600 different buildings, most temples of one sort or the other, show a skill in development that matched that of the ancient Egyptians. Canals, waterways and other water projects were but some creations about the greatest works: the temples.
