Venezia / Cortile del palazzo Ducale / Cour du Palais Ducal: On voit à gauche la façade de l' horloge, par l' architecte Bartolomeo Monopola en 1589 ä 1602 ornée de statues an-ciennes parmi les quelles Marc Aurèle, Cicéron, un Philosophe et la For-tune sont les plus remarquables, et le monument de Francesco Maria della Rovere Duc d' Urbin, Général au service de la République. On y voit aussi une partie de la façade dite des Senateurs; l'Escalier des Gésants par A. Rizzo en 1485 et les décorations par les sculpteurs Domenico et Bernardino de Mantoue; les duex statues colossales de Mars et de Neptune par Sansovino 1554; C' est au sommet de cetescalier que le nouveau Doge était couronné pas le doyen du Conseil. Au milieu de la Cour se trouvent duex puits en bronze dont l'un fut fondu par Nicolò dei Conti 1556 il est couvert de figures symboliques d'après l'Histoire Sainte ; l'autre travaillé par Alberghetti de Ferrara en 1559 il est de forme octagone représentant de chaque côté une histoire Mythologique. / Court-Yard of the Doge's Palace. -- To the left may be seen the façade of the clock by te architect Bartolomeo Monopola 1589 to 1602 or-nemented with ancient statues, the most remarkables of which are those of Marcus Aurelius, Ciceron, a Philosopher, the Fortune, and the monument of Fransesco Maria della Rovere, Duke of Urbino and General Republic. Here may be seen a portion of the façade called of the Senators; the Giant's Staircase by A. Rizzo 1485, the decorations being made by the by the sculptors Domenico and Bernardino of Mantoua: on the summit are the colossal Statues of Mars and Neptune by Sansovino 1554; it was here that the newly elected Doge was crowned by the oldest member of the Council. In the middle of the courttwo bronze wells, one by Nicolò dei Conti in the year 1556, it is covered with allegorical figures from Holy History the other is work from Alberghetti of Ferrara in 1559, octagonal in form and representing on either side a story taken from Mythology. / Hof des Dogenpalastes: Zur Linken die façade der Uhr vom Architekten Bartolomeo Monopola 1587-1602, mit antiken Statuen geschmückt, unter welchen die des Marcus Aurelius, Ciceros, eines Philosophen und der Fortuna hervorragen. Das Grabmal von Francesco Maria della Rovere, Herzog von Urbino, Feldrerrn der Republik und eien Theil der Façade, genannt der Senatoren Rechts ; Die Riesentreppe von A. Rizzo 1485 mit Verzierungen von den Bildhauern Domenico und Bernardino von Mantova : auf dem Treppenabsatz die colossalen Bildäulen Mars und Neptun von Sansovino 1554, wo-selbst der neuerwählte Doge von dem ältesen Mitglied seines Rathes gekrönt wurde. In der Mitte des Hofes zwei bronzerne Ziehbrunnen, der eine von Nicolò dei Conti 1556 mit allegorischen Figuren aus der heiligen Geschicte bekleidet; der andere von Alberghetti aus Ferrara aus Ferrara 1559 in achteckiger From mit Mythengeschchicten auf jeder Seite. / Riproduzione riservata. / Venezia, 1877, Tip.
