Two hundred Negroes, mostly teenagers, were arrested after police broke up a noisy racial demonstration in the lobby of the First National Bank. The demonstrators were arrested when they sat down on the floor of the bank lobby. The protest was against alleged employment discrimination by the bank, East St. Louis, Illinois.
