DescriptionFort King George, built by the British in 1770, overlooks the town and harbor of Scarborough on Tobago. Engraver is probably Thomas Medland, [c.1765 - 1833], a well-known British engraver of views. (SOURCE: John Carter Brown Library, Brown University) View of island coast and ship filled harbor; includes agave or maguey plant, coconut palm, and cacti. "Town with harbor, looking from hill out to sea; palm trees, people."
