Paris Racing Stables Are Army Quarters: Paris' famous racing stables or Maison-Laritte have be requisitioned by the military authorities and are now quarters for the Army. The premises which used to house famous thoroughbreds of the racetracks are now occupied soldiers who try to make themselves at home as much possible. / The soldiers have to keep their boxes in ship-shape order. Photo shows inspection by an officer in charge of the stable quarters.

Garrick Madison (white shirt) 18, spokesman for the group, talks with Col. Jack Reilly (white hair), the mayor's director of special events, who eventually allowed Madison and four other representatives of CORE to enter the suite for an interview with Daley. Daley later told reporters: "They asked for my co-operation with regarding the Board of Education, and I told them it is not my policy to interfere with the Board of Education." Reporters and city hall workers are amidst CORE group outside office, Chicago.

Mardi Gras is one of the biggest money making events the Pleasanton Juniors stage each year. We have king and queen candidates who hold money making events (dances, fashion shows, family pizza night, etc.) The candidate who raises the most money wins. Last year we raised $12,800.00 for the senior citizens transportation system and $1000.00 for youth counseling programs. The final event is the Mardi Gras Ball, over 500 people attended to drink, eat, dance and celebrate the coronation. Pleasanton, California, from the series "Our Kind of People"
